Costco in Nanaimo is being evacuated because of a bomb threat. Nanaimo RCMP are on scene. They’re asking people to avoid the area. The building and surrounding area will be searched by a Police Services Dog trained to detect explosives.

The bomb threat comes less than a week after a similar threat was called in to the 7-Eleven in Departure Bay. Police didn’t find anything after searching the store on Friday, August 1.
