Sechelt downtown WiFi system goes live

Sechelt Innovations Limited says its 63-thousand dollar downtown WiFi system is live.
SIL, the business development corporation owned by the District, made the WiFi project one of its first goals.  SIL says going live makes Sechelt the first community in BC to provide free public wireless Internet access in its downtown core.
22 downtown business are offering up a portion of their bandwidth for the system, which uses 2 access points on Cowrie St, along with 9 on light standards and indoor access points in several locations.
