Tours de Coast and Rock donations down because of school strike

The annual Cops for Cancer bicycle tours are suffering because of the teachers strike.
School based fundraisers and events are a big part of the Tour de Coast and Tour de Rock.
Barbara Kaminsky is with the Canadian Cancer Society.  She says their best estimate right now is that donations could end up down by as much as 15 per cent.
The Tour de Coast, including local RCMP constables Kevin Shepherd and Hwisong Kahng will be in Sechelt Thursday with stops at the Sechelt Aquatic Centre at 10:45am, Little Scholars Child Care at 11:10am the Madeira Park Community Policing office at noon and the Sechelt RCMP Detachment at 3:45.
The Tour de Rock will hit the mid-Island on the 28th, so there’s a chance the strike will be over.Donations for BOTH tours can be made at copsforcancerbc.ca
